It reflects upon the reciprocal process of the packing and unpacking of crates which transport, protect and literally enframe the works.  These crates serve as the collection point of the objects.  They are seen as a space of rest.  A transit zone from out of which may spring new projects, where objects may find their own way.\r\n\r\nIn *étaler l’atelier emboîter*, Ghellinck takes the treatment of space as her starting point to then create a two-dimensional drawing.  She displays her objects in a black plane, and they shift during composition.  With each such shift, the artist delineates the moved artifact.  In this way the contours comprise a memory-field of the object's previous position.\r\n\r\nHere, this 'groping' in space stands in dialogue with the structure *Iconostase and Gribouillis* from Yona Friedman.  The whimsical structure arose from the random folds of iron, and unlocks a host of possible interpretations.  It is the simple act of transformation, and the reference of the spatial realm to the two-dimensional, that served as source of inspiration for the method employed here.\r\n\r\n**'What does one see if that which has been is shown, and that which still has to come has already happened?'**\r\n"},{"locale":"nl","short_description":"","description":"*étaler l’atelier emboîter* gaat over het ritme van het verplaatsen van objecten in en uit de ruimte.\r\nHet gaat over het wederkerig proces van het in- en uitpakken van kisten die het werk vervoeren,\r\nbeschermen, omkaderen,... Deze kisten zijn het verzamelpunt van de objecten. Ze worden gezien als\r\nrustruimte. Een transit-zone van waaruit opnieuw gedacht en gereflecteerd kan worden. Van waaruit\r\nnieuwe projecten groeien en objecten hun eigen pad gaan.\r\n\r\nIn *étaler l’atelier emboîter* start de Ghellinck vanuit een ruimtelijke handeling om zo een twee\r\ndimensionale tekening te creëren. Zij etaleert haar objecten in een zwart vlak die zich tijdens het\r\nopstellen verplaatsen. Bij iedere verschuiving omlijnt zij het bewogen artefact. De contouren vormen\r\naldus een herinneringsveld aan de voorgaande positie van het object.\r\n\r\nDit tasten in de ruimte staat bij deze presentatie in dialoog met de structuur *Iconostase en gribouillis* van Yona Friedman. De grillige structuur ontstond door het willekeurig plooien van ijzer en werpt een tal van\r\nmogelijke interpretaties op.
