Whilst being Beuys\u0026rsquo; initials, the letters \u0026rdquo;J\u0026rdquo; and \u0026ldquo;B\u0026rdquo; on the work \u003cem\u003eJ\u0026amp;B\u003c/em\u003e are also in the same style as the J\u0026amp;B whisky brand. The word \u0026ldquo;Eurasia\u0026rdquo; \u0026ndash;\u0026nbsp;the name for the combined landmass of Europe and Asia \u0026ndash; is repeated across these images, which was a term Beuys used in numerous artworks including a renowned performance titled \u003cem\u003eEURASIENSTAB\u003c/em\u003e (\u003cem\u003eEURASIAN STAFF\u003c/em\u003e) in Antwerp in 1968. Beuys used the term as a way to try and transgress notions of East and West, and to introduce transcendental thinking into his practice.
