The cards were propelled by a motor and flew abundantly about.\u0026nbsp; On the cards was a representation of the drawing \u003cem\u003eLe Si\u0026egrave;cle de Kafka\u003c/em\u003e, with as title \u003cem\u003e\u0026#39;Panamarenko\u0026#39;s Nee\u003c/em\u003e\u0026#39; upon it.\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u0026#39;It was a \u0026#39;nee\u0026#39; (i.e. no) against the power games of the museum directors who organized this exhibition.\u0026nbsp; It was also a \u0026#39;no\u0026#39; against all that ballyhoo of Chambres d\u0026#39;Amis, going on in Ghent at the same time.\u0026nbsp; I wasn\u0026#39;t in love with the idea of going to make something at somebody\u0026#39;s house, and not being able to say \u0026#39;no\u0026#39;.\u0026nbsp; And so I expressed my \u0026#39;no\u0026#39; precisely by my taking part.\u0026nbsp; By showing all that money so ostentatiously, people felt that I was kicking them in the shins, I guess.\u0026nbsp; But you have to see it this way: take Mozart, for instance, rich and writing great operas for grand spectacles, and he\u0026#39;s asked to go around to someone\u0026#39;s house for a musical evening and write a little chamber piece or something... well, I don\u0026#39;t think he\u0026#39;d do it either! (vehemently)\u0026nbsp; That Mozart had other things in his head!\u0026nbsp; He might well have done it if he was broke... Het was ook een \u0026#39;nee\u0026#39; tegen dat gedoe van Chambres d\u0026#39;Amis dat tegelijkertijd in Gent liep. Ik had het er al niet mee om bij mensen thuis iets te moeten gaan maken, en om geen \u0026#39;nee\u0026#39; te moeten zeggen, zegde ik dan maar \u0026#39;nee\u0026#39; door er toch aan mee te doen. Door dat geld zo ostentatief te tonen voelden de mens en zich tegen hun schenen gestampt, denk ik. Maar ge moet het zo zien: neem nu die Mozart, als dat een rijke componist zou zijn geweest die alleen maar muziek maakte voor grote opera\u0026#39;s en zo, als ze die dan zouden vragen om bij mensen thuis op een avondje iets te komen componeren, zo\u0026#39;n kamermuziekske of zo, die zou dat toch ook niet doen, he! (heftig) Die Mozart zit toch met heel andere dingen in zijne kop! Maar hij deed het wel omdat hij geen geld had ...
